CRITICAL HOME REPAIR PROGRAM (CHR)
AUTAUGA COUNTY
The Habitat for Humanity of Autauga and Chilton Counties (HFHACC) Critical Home Repair Program helps income-eligible families with essential repairs to windows, plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, and foundation. If approved, it covers contractor costs for the critical repair. Funding is available for several homes in Autauga County.

HFHACC representatives will take appointments Monday-Friday from 10 am-12 pm and 1 pm-3pm until June 19, 2026, at the Habitat office located on 431 West 4th Street, Suite A, Prattville, AL 36067 in Calvary Baptist Church. To make an appointment call our office at (334) 365-4123. The documents listed below are required for the appointment.
- Home Ownership: Copy of property deed and/or mortgage documents with county stamp showing it has been officially filed.
- Owner Occupied: Copy of government issued photo-identification for each homeowner listed on the property deed or mortgage documents. The name and address on the ID must match the property deed or mortgage documents, as proof that each owner is also an occupant in the home.
- Financial Need: Copy of IRS tax return for 2025 for each homeowner, if required to file for taxable income. Address on the tax return must match the deed or mortgage.
- Financial Need: Copy of official 2026 award letter for any Social Security or disability income for each homeowner. Address on the official letter must match the deed or mortgage.
